I can’t tell you how absolutely fantastic the prospectus looks. Thank you so very much for your intense imagination, energy, inspiration and patience on the journey. We are so grateful. Thank you for your talent.

I wanted to say how pleased everyone is with the Annual Information Brochure. Your picture selection was the one thing that, for me, made all the difference to its impact. I thought last year’s was good, and this year’s is even better. The photo of the family was a masterstroke. Your spotting two text errors was another example of your dedication to the cause.

The Prospectus breaks new ground and is an excellent production of which you should be enormously proud.

May I also congratulate you on the production of such an innovative and inspirational prospectus. It was an enjoyable and informative read which, we both agreed, was infinitely more insightful than traditional formats.

Jules is a fantastic designer and I thoroughly enjoy working with him. Our projects include the school prospectus, additional information brochure, annual report and new scholarship brochure. We have also worked together on several advertising campaigns. I recommend him most highly.

‘18 Bookshops’ loses none of its elegance though opened and read and referenced repeatedly. People have called the cover ‘enchanting’, ‘strikingly unusual’, ‘eye-catching’, ‘unique’, ‘sunlit’. When they go into the pages, they find the block-colour orange and black, the delicate ornament, the fonts and coloured numbers and know they’re seeing a book they have never seen before.
For myself, I am entranced by the occasional chapter-naming on the after-page as in chapters 11 and 12. These exactly carry a sense of continuing reflection in the readers. I admire and thank you that some chapters close at the end of a page, and that you made sure this did not happen too often, for that would have been over-neat and contrived. It is exactly right where it is done.
I like too, the fine simplicity of the last page. You put no sign of finality, closing, end, and I am so glad for how you understood that there should be none. It is far more powerful for not carrying signals of ending. The life in the book goes on.
I love the book for its lightness, its shine, its apparently being lit from inside, that it is alive always with the text.
Anne Scott, Author of 18 Bookshops
